Not only is Salvatores extremely over priced it is completely tacky. You walk up to the doors and there is a giant ceramic buffalo sitting reading a book. You then go inside and all over the place are weird fake people making goofy faces. The bathrooms are lined with barbie dolls and strange little baby figurines. Not knowing anything about this place we went in flip flops since it is summer and we were coming from the movies. They were going to refuse to seat us even though there was no mention of a dress code when the reservations were made. They finally did after saying we were from out of town. The food was decent, but not worth the couple hundred dollars spent on it. Worse, while walking to the bathroom I heard the person who let us in bad mouthing us to some other employees. If you are trying to be a four star restaurant get rid of all the garage sale stuff lying around.
PROS: the desert was good
CONS: Tacky, rude, and overpriced
I was staying at a hotel around here doing my spring break and one of the people behind the desk suggested this place. It was very delicious. I had some lemon cookies just like my grandma use to make. Baked goods are my favorite thing that is bad for me and this place definitely has some of the best at reasonable prices.
Being college takes a toll on your wallet. After hearing about this place some roommates and I went to check it out. We stocked up for those late night snacks. I would probably still go here even if I had a ton of money lying around. This would be good for parents or someone throwing a casual party. Good snacks that are cheap.
I live on a busy street in a not so nice area so my car tends to get vandalized a lot. Once I noticed my gas cap was missing I got fed up and decided I needed to get a locking one for my jeep. After looking online and finding the kind I wanted I started calling places. One place told they didn't make the kind I wanted for my jeep. Knowing they were wrong I found this place who order the exact one I wanted, which I am very happy with.
I started having some major problems with my previous car, a ford station wagon. I hadn't live in buffalo for very long so a family friend who use to live here recommended this place to me. I took my car here even though it was out of the way. They found a bunch of problems and it ended up costing me an arm and leg. After I drove it home it stalled on me while parking and I ended getting rid of it right afterwards. I'm sure its not entirely there fault because it was a bad car, but I was pretty upset that after all that work they didn't even fix the problem.
I went here to find a gift for someone since it is near my house. Still being in school I didn't have a lot of money to spend. After I said I wasn't looking to spend much they didn't see as attentive to me. It had a decent selection, but I'm not use to going into places like these so I like to feel at ease. That is the main thing I think about when deciding where to shop. If you are going to spend any amount of money you should feel good about it.
My dad has back problems that have recently gotten bad. He use to walk 6 miles a day, but for a while couldn't walk at all. For fathers day my parents came to visit and I got him an appointment to here. He was a different person afterwards. It is affordable enough to do every once in a while, but not something on a regular basis. After going here and a few other places he is back to walking everyday.
I don't buy flowers very often, but I decided to splurge on my girlfriend last valentines day. They obviously were well prepared for the holiday. Many different bouquets were out. I ended up spending a bit more than I had planned, but it was worth it. Whoever you get flowers for from here will be truly grateful.
PROS: beautiful flowers
As a present to my girlfriend when she got her new puppy I treated her (well, her dog at least) to the pet spa. They did a good job pampering him. He has the tendency to roll around in a compost pile so whenever he gets a bath it is really a present for me as well! The only reason I wouldn't go back here on a regular basis is that it is expensive- especially for something you could do at home.
PROS: pamper your pet
CONS: costs too much
While going to school I was looking around in a salvation army and found a sports jacket. Amazing it fit perfectly so I got it. I didn't want to wear it since I had no clue who had died in it so I took it here. It was affordable and was pretty quick. I will go back here once I start having more suits to dry clean
