The Clinton outlets are a little more expensive than nearby Westbrook. Most of the stores here are designer stores like Michael Kors, Coach and Dooney & Burke. If you are looking for very nice merchandise at pretty good prices this is the place to go. And make sure you stop off for some Lindt chocolate, there's nothing better than discounts on really good chocolate!
The Westbrook outlets are great. There are covered walkways for bad weather and open spaces to get out and get some sun between stores on nice days. Stores come and go but there are always new ones to take their place. The prices in most of the outlets are good and bargains can always be found. There is plenty of parking and if you are a member of AAA, there is a coupon book you can get that adds to the savings.
Abbott's Lobster in the rough is a lot like the places you find in Maine. No frills... just good lobster and clams. Eat it overlooking the water and you feel like you have arrived DownEast.
