The Bitterroot Ranch is an incredible getaway. The scenery as you ride beautiful Arabian horses, is second to none. The ranch is at 8000 feet altitude.
The accommodations are rustic cabins with all the amenities. The sound of the river puts you to sleep. Food is fresh and wonderfully prepared. There are many other animals at the ranch, both farm and pet.
The ranch also owns Equitours, which sponsors horseback riding vacations all over the world.
This rustic little place is just a few miles from Silver City, NM. They have a full menu and the hamburgers are deluxe! In the restaurant, which looks like an old west saloon, there is evening entertainment by singers, banjo and guitar players, fiddlers, etc.
The connecting Opera House has comedic plays that are spoofs and a lot of fun.
Definitely a place to visit and eat when in this old mining town area.
This is the most wonderful place to board your dog you will ever find. The kennels are large and the dogs are let out to run and play in large yards two times a day at NO EXTRA CHARGE! They play with their own buddies, or alone, never at risk.
The owners truly care about your pet. The price is extremely competitive. Dogs are housed in outdoor runs that are shaded.
The owners house is only a few feet from the kennel. I have driven 125 miles one way to board my dogs here, and it was well worth it!
Dr. Hooman works well with elderly patients. He cared for my mother's teeth (she's in her nineties) and made her a front partial. He is friendly and explains things to the patient.
This dentist's office specializes in patients 55 and older. The prices are very competitive. I heard about them through the OHSU Dental School.
They take insurance but still are very reasonable for those who have no dental coverage.
Dr. Lisa Lipe is a great podiatrist. She deals with every aspect of foot care. This includes people with diabetes, corns, calluses, bunions, hammer toe, flat feet, plantar fascitis, etc.
She is a very gentle and friendly person who puts you at ease right away. Highly recommend her for any foot problems.
Dr. Larson is a great Ophthalmologist. He is very friendly and his whole staff helpful and nice. They try and fit you in as soon as possible, and have complete service for all ages. They take most insurance coverage.
In the same suite is an Optician. They give good service, but the frames are (in my opinion) highly over priced.
I would get my eyes checked by Dr. Larson, and then take my prescription to Binyon's in Washington Square Mall.
This family owned business gives great personal care when aligning your vehicle. I was out of alignment because of slipping on black ice and hitting a curb. They got me in right away and did a wonderful alignment on my F-150 4X4.
Finding I needed new struts and shocks, they informed me so I could attend to this later.
Recommended by my mechanic, I was not disappointed. Will use them for all future alignment needs.
Foot Solutions in Tigard has a very knowledgeable staff for taking care of your shoe needs. Recommended by our podiatrist, they carefully fit shoes to my elderly mother who has plantar fascitis and diabetes type 2.
The shoes can be a bit pricey, but they are well made and last for years.
Coffee Central is located in the Sherwood Plaza, near the Post Office. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place with friendly service and a comfy feel.
There are a few tables outside where you can sit with your dog. They have a clean restroom and great pastries.
It's nestled right in the corner near the Panda Chinese restaurant and the Laundromat.
This nice little store has everything for the dog lover. The grooming area has a self-serve dog wash and is very clean and neat.
They carry excellent brands of dog food at competitive prices.
Rain slickers, fancy collars and leads, everything you need to be in doggy style.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a huge parking lot in a strip mall.
They carry Greyhound martingale collars, which can be hard to find.
