China Olive has all the Chinese food you can think of at a typical buffet. Everything is good and shouldn't disappoint. It's a great place to have big family parties at. There is a lot of parking so don't worry. The pricing is not expensive either for all the food you can get.
This restaurant isn't honestly the best choice for Thai food in the valley but it isn't absolutely horrible either. The menu has the usual items to offer you like pad see ew or curry. Their service portions are actually big so that's a plus. Service is just alright; they'll check up on you once in a while to refill your water cup. Pricing isn't exactly cheap but the restaurant is fairly nice so it's not a bad thing. Front parking lot is usually full but there's a rear parking too.
The Northridge Pet Hospital is the usual vet I go to for my dogs. They are very professional and do their best to treat your pet. My dogs are actually very shy and are afraid of strangers, but they handle them very well to calm them down. The clinic isn't very big but it accomadates all its customers. It's located right near the train tracks that run through Lindley.
I don't normally come here right away for boba, but if I'm in the mood it's not a bad choice. They have everything from snow bubbles to milk tea. Try the taro flavor. Their boba is actually a good kind, not too hard or anything. It's a nice place to come to because of its location with the gym being there and all the restaurants there.
Tacos Mexico in the valley is always a great choice for some real good Mexican food. Try any of the tacos and you'll be satisfied. Service is good; don't worry about long waits for your food. They have a really delicious carne asada burrito.
Bangluck is the place to go whenever you're thinking of cooking up a nice Asian meal. It has just about everything you can think of for Asian food. It's two stories with the top being the section for home items and the bottom with all the food. It's a little packed inside but doesn't get crowded. The lot is big so parking is not a problem. The inside smells like seafood but what else would you expect. Service is okay; workers can be helpful if you need it. I love their spice aisle, it has everything for sure. I come her for my sriracha sauce.
I absolutely love the food served at A&W. My favorites from the menu include calamari, beef loc lac, and fried rice. The restaurant is fairly small however. It's located on Reseda near Bangluck and a pho restaurant. Even though this is much closer to my house, I would probably choose the A&W down north on Reseda or even the one on San Fernando Rd in Granada Hills. Still, the food is pretty much the same, just the atmosphere is different.
Pinoy Pinay is the regular filipino restaurant with the entrees layed out and you can pick two or three dishes with rice for a combination plate. Their selection is not that big but all the food is good. The have a lot of desserts and good drinks like melon or sago. The restaurant usually has a grade of B so it's not perfectly clean. It's located inside Island Pacific so it's nice to come to eat and do shopping after. I would still pick DJ Bibingkahan in the same plaza over this though.
Dr. Gordon has been my dentist for as long as I can remember. She has been there to pull out my baby teeth, fill in cavities, and for bi-yearly cleanings. I also went to her office for the years when I had braces because she had a great orthodontist, who's different now but the new one is just as good because he's my younger brother's ortho. Dr. Gordon even referred me to a great oral surgeon, who's office is located on Ventura, who took out my wisdom teeth. She is the dentist of my whole family and we've been with her for years with no complaints. Her staff is also just as friendly and welcoming. Her office is located in a small plaza on Vanowen in Van Nuys near Birmingham H.S.
I've been eating at DJ's since I was 5 maybe and it's nice to come back for that nostalgic feeling. It's a great family restaurant; plenty of seating and they have a tv with TFC on. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as 24HourFitness and Island Pacific which has a Pinoy Pinay and Goldilocks as well. My family normally only comes to the area for DJ's instead of the other options. Combos are relatively cheap for a lot of food - rice with two sides that you can select from about twenty choices. Typical dishes include adobo, lechon, diniguan, bistig, bikol express, caldereta, and bbq. Filipino cuisine at its finest.
