I went here for several years to get highlights and cuts. Michelle was my stylist. I really liked the color that she did. It was a bit pricey, but that is an Aveda salon, I guess. They touch up your makeup before you leave.
I met with Dana about a year ago to discuss possibility of using her as a provider and to get some direction before I got pregnant. She was very knowledgeable and gave me several suggestions to be successful. Unfortunately, she couldn't be my provider as she didn't take vbac clients. I am not sure if she is doing births right now, but it would be worth a call.
I went here for a wax before our vacation to Mexico. Very nice, big salon. I waited a very short period of time (was offered some wine) and then had my service. The girl was very professional and didn't make useless chit chat (I hate that).
Thi is such a fun store! I love going in and looking around and without a doubt, I come out with something. This is a interiors store and they have contemporary items as well as more classic, traditional decor. If you want to decorate with fake food, come here, they have plenty!
I recently went here for a massage a couple of weeks ago. The price was right (first time customer special was $40), but there are SEVERAL signs posted regarding how much $ to tip for the massage. It was too much, and frankly, I think it was rude. The massage wasn't great at all, I kept asking for more pressure, but it was like a butterfly was massaging me. So, when I went to pay, I did not feel like tipping their 15-20% of $80, but you feel extremely guilty when the receptionist asks out loud (in front of other clients in the waiting area) , "how much for a tip?" IMO-they need to make it discreet so you can add it yourself on the credit card receipt.
The deal with massage heights is that they want you to become a member and pay a monthly membership fee. Then, you get cheaper massages.
I have gone here a few times for massage. I have also bought some Bumble & Bumble product here when I am out. The massages were great (can't remember the therapist's name) and relaxing. And when I came in for product, a stylist showed me how to use the product and tested a few on my hair. I liked that.
This is a great place for lunch. Gyros are good, the onion rings are tasty and it is a nice and new location. I usually get rings with whatever I order!
WOW, I can't believe no one has raved about this place yet. This restaurant is an oldie but goody. Their salad bar is the best. It doesn't look like much until you get up to it and then there are tons of fresh salad options as well as at least three dessert salads! I usually order the griled cheese because it is the cheapest and you get the salad bar too. I think it is just $.50 more than getting the salad bar alone. The food is good too. Monday is prime rib sandwich at lunch!
Our family loves this store. Tailgate is a clothing company that sells their clothes at Scheel's and other stores, but this is their office/headquarters. You can get some really cool, high quality t-shirts at this storefront. The prices are almost half of what you would pay at Scheel's. We got some sweats for dh last year from their store for $30 and saw them for $69 at Scheel's. They have a small selection of toddler/children tees as well. They sell IA and IA ST clothing as well as general tees. Several celebrities have been spotted in their clothing in US Weekly and you can see this on display in the store.
I just went to Lisa Kamphuis (ARNP) for my well woman care this year. She takes a very natural approach to health care and was very interested in my diet. Her charge was similar to going to a Dr. office. Her office is in an old house in Sherman Hill.
