If there is ever a disaster, I want to be trapped in this grocery store. It is fantastic! How could you lose with a rabbit on your logo? They have a wonderful deli with multiple kinds of olives, WONDERFUL crab cakes, roasted vegetables, and dozens of other yummy things. Also, Tammy Coe cakes & Mj bread!!! A wonderful selection of wines & port. Wines by the glass. Tables inside and outside there is a roaring fireplace to sit by along with other tables that overlook the foot traffic at the Scottsdale Quarter. I love this place!
Great prices Good selections of wines & unique beers Terrific food
Knowledgeable staff Happy hour prices from 4 - 7 PM M-Sat I had a wonderful Zinfandel for $2.00! The triple meat personal size (7") pizza $6.00 was very, very good if you are a meat lover. My favorite is the Pop Eye Salad $9 Spinach, green apples, blue cheese & bacon in a vinaigrette that is just right. This is a really neat neighborhood kind of place! (My only ding is that there is a slight smell of maybe 'water damage' or something?) Overall, I would go back in a minute!
Great fresh perspective on food with live music on T, W, Th, F & S nights. On the website you can view the restaurant, see what musical talent is going to be playing, & download the menu! The Guacamole ($3.95) was outstanding - crisp tasty chips & guacamole peppered with pomegranate seeds. The Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer ($4.95) was good but might have been better if the tomatoes had a bit more 'bite'. On the main course side: the absolute table favorite was the Piccata & Pasta ($12.95) plus $2.95 for a very tasty fillet of salmon on top. Thin spaghetti with tiny, crisp bits of zucchini, yellow squash & tomatoes along with capers in a light sauce. I'd go back for that dish alone. The Fresh Street Tacos we chose the salmon once again ($2.95 each or 3 for $7.95) were decent but a little underwhelming. The only disappointment was the Kung Fu Girl salad ($9.95 +$4.95 for an added 4 oz seared Ahi tuna).
The description in the menu sounded great but it was just too bland for our tastes. Also the peach cobbler tasted like something left over from the Black Angus days of this wonderfully remodeled restaurant. The band that played during our meal was good! We'd go back just to try some more of their meal selections and to hear more good music.
This is the go-to-place for any kind of home fabric project & a whole lot more. They have THE BEST selection! Great down-filled pillow forms & pillows, Sunbrella fabric, Clear vinyl, flooring, etc. It is fun to just wander the aisles. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Modern decor; delicious & outstandingly untypical 'bar' food; multiple large screen tv's that drop down from the ceiling; a sound system that would easily drown out a jet engine; and friendly staff makes this a happening place. I'd return to this place at a moments notice - for the food alone! The smoked salmon chopped salad ($7.00) is served with the largest mound of smoked salmon I've ever seen that wasn't on a buffet. The salad itself is fresh, beautifully dressed and is filled with pine nuts & studded with tasty bits of bacon. I also shared the crab cakes "small plate" (also $7.00) - 3 delicate, flavorful cakes of fresh crab atop roasted & creamed corn, garnished with delicious grape-sized tomatoes in a lovely vinagrette. The drinks were excellent & generous. Being an early Thursday night, it wasn't terribly busy so we really were able to relax and enjoy.
Named #1 Vegetarian Restaurant in Phoenix! I had the Fried Imperial Rolls, a glass of Vietnamese Iced Tea and delicious Mango Tapioca Pudding. The Imperial rolls were SO good!...not greasy or heavy at all. The flavors of the fresh vegetables really sprang forth & the vegetarian dipping sauce was a very nice addition. The iced tea was also very fresh. It was a pleasure to have it served in a real glass. The mango tapioca pudding came with an artfully placed fresh strawberry on top and the entire dessert was just perfect. I can't wait to return!
This is a go to place when you are in 'lock-trouble'. Tom Dluhy is extremely knowledgeable about all things 'lock'. He can come to where you need him or you can visit his shop where he has plenty of locks & keys for all purposes. Tom is not only very friendly but he'll get you on your way asap. Not the cheapest but probably one of the best
We've certainly looked at the plants & trees at this nursery multiple times in the last few years but either we couldn't get someone to help us or what we were looking for looked a little too 'tired'. The prices seem okay. We've purchased Christmas trees there in the past but that might be an outside enterprise working off MV's property.
I visited this dealership 2 times to look to purchase a vehicle and called once to inquire about installing equipment on the Honda vehicle I purchased elsewhere. EVERYTIME the experience was bad. The first time I was gathering information to purchase a brand new vehicle. I'd had nothing but outstanding experience with a Honda that I'd owned in the past so walked onto the lot with high expectations. The vehicles that Honda offered were not large enough for what I was seeking.
Several days later I received a call from the fleet sales manager who proceeded to pressure me about buying a Honda. When I told him why I was not interested he asked what other type of vehicle I was looking at; when I told him he proceeded to tell me that I was only interested in impressing my friends! (I ended up buying a new Toyota) The second time I visited was some months later this time looking at a used vehicle on the lot and wanting to test drive it. The salesman was very embarrassed because the car was locked and they couldn't find the keys. We left after awhile and asked that they call when they found them. No call. Two weeks later we were back on the lot to look at another vehicle (that turned out to be sold) when we saw the first vehicle, for which they could not find the keys, still for sale & parked in another location. Strike 3 came after I'd purchased a used Honda and wanted to have a piece of Honda brand merchandise installed. The price I was given was over $300 for the less than one hour installation. I ended up having it installed for $40 by a Honda certified mechanic at a Honda certified shop.
Our family loves this nursery! The staff is ALWAYS super friendly & knowledgeable. They always have a great, healthy selection of native plants plus a lot of really cool related furniture & furnishings.
The prices also seem a very good value.
