This is the perfect small tack shop that somehow covers all your horse and rider needs. They have a nice combination of fun trinkets, decor and small items as wella as the important stuff like good boots, bridles, bits etc. We visit whenever we are in the Milford area. My daughter got her very first pair of paddock boots here and she has a somewhat hard to fit foot and calf. The personal attention was excellent.
My 15 year old daughter has been riding 5 or 6 years. When we found Chelsea with Penwick Eventing, we never went anywhere else. We have half-leased several horses at Penwick Eventing and all were perfect for my daughter at that particular time in her riding. She is now competing at shows and trynig out even more challenging horses. Chelsea has great compassion and knowledge about everything horse at her barn which means your horse will be well cared for. She also has integrity in the horse world, which can be hard to find. She is a superb instructor and knows how to handle the different personalities among "her girls" as well as adult riders. There is no snobby pretentiousness at Penwick Eventing like some other barns. Owners, riders, students and instructors alike all interact with friendship and shared love of horses, cheering each other on at shows and lending a hand to each other whenever needed, No one will tack up your horse for you (unless you need help) and you are expected to clean up after your horse in the groomign areas, The barn is wonderful but its more rustic and comfortable than fancy. The stable itself has excellent, roomy, clean stalls for the horses. There is an indoor ring, indoor lounge, 2 outdoor rings and miles of trails. What else could you want?
